Your tasks and responsibilities

The incumbent will:

• Lead the development of the OGSMs; ensuring alignment to US Sales OGSMs and deployment within Walgreens; • Communicate with CCD internal departments to understand division StraCo and ABP strategies and tactics for the business and effectively communicate these to the Team; • Provide customer-focused field input and analysis to internal departments to assist in the development of market-driven business strategies, plans and programs; • Lead and direct the Team in establishing and achieving customer annual and long term priorities; • Achieve Bayer volume and KPI objectives through successful sell-in and execution of the retail controllable across Bayer’s categories in: - Assortment -Promotion - Pricing - Shelving - New Products • Lead the team in providing monthly forecast by customer, including risk and opportunity assessment; • Guide the team in analytical initiatives to ensure fact-based support to sell-in of Bayer initiatives and to drive identification of new opportunities; • Resolve conflicts within Walgreens Team and manages conflicts across channels; • Lead and actively participate in Continuous Business Planning process with National Team, including: - Leads and participates in joint business planning with customers. - Conducts ongoing assessment of annual business plans for: * Course correction to current year plan achievement; * Implications to next year’s plan development; • Evaluate retail controllable best practices to identify opportunities; • Lead and participate in key strategic meetings with customers (such as top-to-tops) as the senior interface with Walgreens customer executives; • Responsible for the recruitment, development, and career pathing for the Walgreens Team; • Lead direct reports in knowledge, understanding and management of Customer Business Centers, including Customer Business Manager(s), as well as Customer & Shopper Solutions and Customer & Shopper Activation.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position:

•BS/BA, MBA desirable. Knowledge ordinarily acquired from BS/BA degree (MBA desirable) plus 15 plus years of experience in the consumer packaged goods industry (across multiple channels) or equivalent combination of education and experience. This experience should include 7 plus years’ experience as a director, with extensive time spent in a field leadership role and direct management of teams; •Experience managing across functions and geography. The experience should include at least 6 plus years of headquarters' (corporate) responsibility, direct line people development, finance management, strategic business planning, multiple channel representation, and category development; •Previous experience that has produced personal competency in leadership and development of people. Also, communication, with an emphasis in active listening, as well as competencies in the area of critical thinking that has produced solid problem solving and practical judgment skills. •Ability to drive for results by utilizing resources (i.e. people, time and money) while being able to work well in a team environment leveraging their network of contacts through their organizational agility; •A clear understanding of customer/marketplace needs in order to help develop new and creative strategic visions and organizational/work processes; •Ability to contribute to the development of people within the organization and helping to sustain and develop relationships.
