- Provides physical therapy in the areas of physical disabilities, neuromuscular and psychosocial dysfunction to patients ranging form newborn to geriatric. Services range from routine cases to very complex.
- Develops treatment plans based on general information in consult and taking into consideration patient's physical and mental conditions, cooperation and various psychological factors. Evaluates and develops treatment plans for patients referred to the department by physicians, exercising independent professional judgment in planning and carrying out a treatment plan to meet the patient's needs.
- Reviews literature and prepares educational correspondence which may be utilized by the professional staff within the service unit.

- Occasional travel may be required for training and/or other work related duties.
- Relocation Expenses may be authorized and may be paid. You will be required to sign a one year service agreement. Failure to fulfill the one year service agreement may result in repayment of relocation expenses.

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Degree:
GS-09: Two (2) years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's Degree or equivalent graduate degree.
GS-11: Three (3) Years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph. D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
That included or was supplemented by one (1) physical therapy curriculum approved by a recognized professional accrediting organization at the time the curriculum was completed and two (2) the clinical affiliation requirements prescribed by the school.
Licensure: Applicants must pass a State-administered national examination. In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
GS-09: At least One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the federal service as described in the vacancy.
GS-11: At least One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the federal service as described in the vacancy.
Specialized Experience: Knowledge and Experience of providing a full range of physical therapy techniques in order to optimize positive rehabilitation. Experience with developing and monitoring the comprehensive physical therapy treatment plan which helps the patient and his/her own therapy goals for improved functional mobility at work and personally.
The selected individual is required to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements. If privileges are not obtained or maintained during employment, the employee will be subject to adverse actions, up to and including removal from Federal service.
Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

Work Schedule: 40 Hours Per Week, Monday thru Friday.
