Co-Innovation Architect for Applications and Development

The Global SAP Co-Innovation Lab (COIL) Network facilitates project-based co-innovation with SAP partners. COIL enhances the capabilities of SAP's partner and customer ecosystem through an integrated network of world-wide expertise, and best-in-class technologies and platforms. COIL acts as an intelligent interface, allowing SAP and its partners to jointly engage in a well-defined process from concept incubation and mutual co-investment agreement to roll-out. Joint achievements are ultimately packaged and showcased in COIL facilities, events, SAP Community Network, and more. The Co-Innovation Architect for Applications and Development integrates with the ecosystem in Brazil and LAC (Latin America & Caribbean) countries to support and manage co-innovation projects in heterogeneous setups where typically various parties from our ecosystem and SAP form a team to accomplish joint results and deliverables. The person is also responsible for the rollout and execution of innovation programs. The co-innovation architect needs to have sufficient technical understanding to take the right decisions for the project. On the other hand, the co-innovation architect has a strong planning and execution drive as well as communication skills to make co-innovation projects in a heterogeneous environment (different company and country cultures) a success.


As Co-Innovation Architect (f/m) for Applications and Development for LAC, you

  • Support Brazil and LAC partners to successfully co-innovate on/ with SAP with the special focus on Internet of Things (IoT)

  • Introduce latest SAP tech know-how to local SAP ecosystem to increase SAP technology adoption

  • Ensure quality of partner solutions or integrations by architecture guidance, handholding and reviews

  • Strong alignment and close collaboration with related SAP organizations, especially within SAP Labs LAC and also SAP LAC (Globalization Services, Partner Service Delivery, local Ecosystem, Integration & Certification Center, Partner Edge, Partner Management, etc.)

  • Collaborate with Global COIL Network colleagues for best practices, knowledge exchange and support

  • Act as intelligent interface between local partners and SAP product/ industry units, in alignment with SAP strategy, positioning and technology

  • Coordinate, use and train partners on system landscapes offered out of COIL’s private cloud

  • Deliver operational excellence in all aspects of the COIL Brazil location for respective project reporting according to global COIL standards, including information related to invoicing, project management, sponsor alignment, contracts creation on a continuous basis

  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical project stakeholders

  • Roll out and execute COIL innovation programs with the ecosystem

  • Develop trustful and long-term relationships with teams and individuals outside and inside of SAP


  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering

  • Hands-on / in-depth knowledge about SAP and integration technologies for Non-SAP business applications

  • Basic knowledge of SAP products

  • Knowledge in working with SAP HANA

  • Knowledge in ABAP and/or Java programming

  • Knowledge in SAP Basis is a plus

  • Knowledge in Infrastructure and Networking is a plus

  • Knowledge and experience in the area IoT is a plus

  • Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle and development best practices within SAP

  • Strong aptitude for learning new SAP technologies and enabling others to utilize them

  • Creative approach to problem solving while working on a tight schedule

  • Interested in working effectively in a small but powerful team, while developing close working relationships with teams outside and inside SAP

  • Proven skills in project management

  • Strong ability to work within virtual, multi-cultural, heterogeneous and remote teams

  • Strong communication and networking skills

  • Strong analytical thinking capabilities, driving tasks independently while being a team player and being skilled at dealing with partners, customers and suppliers

  • Fluency in English. Portuguese is a must.


  • 3-6 years of technical experience in the areas of integration technologies and SAP

  • Proven track record in managing projects

  • Experience in working with customers, partners and suppliers

  • Existing knowledge and expertise of new SAP related technologies (especially SAP HANA)

  • Existing knowledge with SAP Basis and/ or Infrastructure & Networking is a plus
