In a context where our customers are facing an increased pressure to accelerate their transformation to digital business models and at the same time increase their efficiency, improve business performance and stay compliant, as part of EMEA GSS, the Big Data, Analytics and LOB Finance organization would like to help our customers in their journey with an end to end services portfolio focusing on Big Data, Analytics and LOB Finance solutions (Analytics, GRC and S4/HANA Finance).

As part of EMEA GSS Big Data, Analytics and LOB Finance, the EPM and Lob Finance team and its 10 to 15 architects focus on Digital Finance from Core Finance to EPM and especially our last solutions and versions such as S/4 HANA Finance, Central Finance and Integrated Business Planning.


The Business Process Architect role is an active role that is customer focused and presents challenges.

The position requires a combination of strategic and practical experience and focus on Delivery Execution and Demand Generation.

  • Largely independently execute assignments and deliverables and manage his utilization target

  • Build and execute Demand Generation activities and events in alignment with SAP Strategy

  • Support business development and license & services sales

  • Develop high-expertise on S/4 HANA, S/4 HANA Finance/Central Finance, maintain his knowledge and expand to the full Finance scope

  • Advisory / Delivery

  • Review client as-is processes and create the target operating model and the high-level to-be process model

  • Design detailed Finance customer to-be processes and the high level solution design based on process requirements, application and system landscape.

  • Evaluate customer requirements, map them to business processes, functional and solution architectures and ensure a proper implementation from a solution architecture point of view

  • Contribute to a functional or business related community

  • Pro-active support Knowledge Management & Innovation activities


  • 10 years of experience in Finance process advisory and implementation with CFO/CIO exposure

  • General understanding of Finance and Digital Finance, familiar with the relevant trends and business strategies and models, industry specific business processes, challenges, business drivers/pain points and related best-practice solution architectures

  • Good understanding of SAP’s solution and service offerings including packaged solutions, RDS, FBS, pre-defined services and starter packs, including the available functionality, business value, implementation effort and compatibility/integration with standard functionality

  • Proficient in FI-CO, Accounting and Financial Close, Treasury Management, Financial Planning and Analysis S/4 HANA Finance and Central Finance ideally

  • Can leverage knowledge of business domain during problem definition, solution architecture and design, implementation and user adoption phases of projects and can communicate this to client

  • Practical experience in functional integration and cross-solution issues

  • Practical experience with Business Process Management

  • Has understanding of information requirements, information flows and information usage within various business operations

  • Understands and, with some consultation, can apply methods of process and solution architecture modeling based on SAP and non-SAP solutions

  • Can moderate between Client and SAP, Business and IT and interact with CxO level

  • Active member of the SAP Knowledge communities

  • Willingness to travel extensively in EMEA
