The primary purpose of the Senior License Management specialist is to achieve the following goals:

  • Build MU License Management capability

  • Maximise audit revenue recovery

  • Monetise Extended Rights

  • Implement consistent compliance practices and standards

  • Minimise compliance customer conflict / fallout


In order to achieve these goal, the Senior License Management Specialist must act upon compliance issues identified by the regional and global license as well as identifying and qualifying opportunities through their own initiative. Once qualified the Senior License Management Specialist will develop and drive the strategy that leads to a successful resolution that balances revenue recovery with customer relationships. It is expected that the Senior License Management Specialist will manage their own defined territory and depending on the MU requirement may also be required to provide team leadership capability for and in support of other License Management staff in the MU.

Personal deal management and support:

  • Validate compliance cases

  • Qualify deal revenue potential and deal timing

  • Define deal strategy & negotiation plan

  • Engage customer executives

  • Internal stakeholder management & alignment

  • Customer negotiation

  • Dispute resolution and escalation management

Team Leadership Governance & Reporting

  • GAF approval: audit clause mods; extended rights; SAP conversions

  • Guidance for local MD/COO

  • Local team cadence calls: pipeline & deals

  • Forecasting and top deal reporting

  • MU Forecast call participation

MU QBR participation


  • 5 years experience in a commercial environment

  • Knowledge of, and experience in, software compliance, software asset management, software auditing or software sales

  • Fluent in spoken and written Local Language plus English (Essential)

  • Experience in engaging with CXOs

  • Proven track record of target achievement

  • Preferably with knowledge of SAP Classic and or Business Objects products & licensing


  • Degree in related fields preferred (Business / Law / Engineering / Technology)

  • Completion of Sales Methodology training preferred
