BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 6,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Franois, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system. BJC Behavioral Health also administers the BJC Employee Assistance Program ad Behavioral Health Partners, an administrative services organization.

Role Purpose

Direct all non-medical clinical services delivery across 4 regional service areas. Programming/Functional Services include admissions and assessment, outpatient child and family case management services, adult case management services, residential case management and all contracted services. Establish standards and processes for service delivery across continuum of services and oversee service delivery in accordance with all capitated contracts, federal, state and local grants and other contracts including DMH Administrative Agent agreements.


  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.

  • Plans, develops, and directs uniform standards and processes for service delivery across sites for each programmatic area.

  • Monitors all services and service delivery processes across sites and work with clinical leadership to continuously improve.

  • Monitors provider network services utilization and quality.

  • Develops clinical care partnerships across entities and community organizations.

Minimum Requirements


  • Master's Degree

    • Social Services/related


  • 5-10 years

Supervisor Experience

  • 2-5 years

Licenses & Certifications

  • LCSW/LPC or equiv
