PD&C provides professional support for system-wide comprehensive strategic facility plans for the various campuses within BJC. Providing integrated design planning the group brings process excellence and standardization in planning including a reliable estimating, scheduling and cost forecasting system. They serve as educators for their customers bringing strong resources to the system, and reviewing all efforts with an eye towards environmental impact. The department provides the necessary selection, contracting, supervision, management and leadership of system-wide program management services for capital design and construction projects. They are accountable for developing, implementing and maintaining the policies, procedures and systems supporting capital projects executed to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction and increase the productivity and financial results of all BJC facilities. The department also provides leadership and technical direction in the development of program control, benchmarking and measurement standards that meet the demands of the strategic needs of BJC HealthCare
Provides the necessary development and direction in the RFP selection, contracting, supervision, leadership and program management of capital construction projects and budgets across all HSO's within the organization.
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
Develops, manages and executes all project delivery methods through competitively bidding 100% of all projects for construction and associated activities. Ensures patient, visitor and staff safety on and around construction projects.
Facilitates best practice design by administration of the Construction Report Card, Cost Estimating Guide, and conducts financial cost analysis with side-by-side comparisons on key building types. Prepares monthly performance reports, workload analysis and projected cash flows for project financial management.
Provides the leadership to manage construction, occupancy, close-out and post-occupancy phases of all projects including compliance of all related planning/zoning and permitting requirements along with project warranty reviews.
Manages workload distribution and directs team's scope, schedule, budget development and compliance. Responsible for project financial compliance by adherence to contract and change order policy and protocol. Supports the development of the capital budget and the multi-year model by managing the team, including I.S. and CAM, in project scope schedule and budget development.
Lead the continuous management and execution of the Diversity & Inclusion programs.
