CH53E Supply Technician/Material Control (Expediter)

Description: This position performs technical supply/material control support for the CH53E contract RESET effort, and includes management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and requisitioning procedures) related to DOD, local, or other supply activities. Executes Organizational level material control support as per the 4790 directives.

Position requires (a) A good working knowledge of the government supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) publication knowledge (preferred CH-53), NALCOMIS (OOMA) knowledge, FEDLOG knowledge, ONE-touch support knowledge, and basic material control knowledge; (c) An understanding of the material needs, processing and requirements of the Organizational Level (O-Level) Expeditor.


  • The candidate must have O-Level (squadron) expediting (material control) experience.

  • Preferred minimum of 3 years material control and/or USMC/Navy aviation supply experience.

  • The candidate must have completed a USMC/Navy Storekeeper (Supply) “A” school, or DOD equivalent.

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in USMC/Navy Aviation supply.

  • Prefer H-53 Organizational Supply support experience.

  • Must have a good working knowledge of CNAF 4790 Supply and Logistic support procedures, responsibilities, and processes. S

  • hall be knowledgeable in the Aviation 3M system and IMRL support actions.

  • AMMRL/IMRL system and equipment Plant Account Program knowledge a plus.

  • Must have a valid drivers’ license and pass a background check.

Duties: Shall provide Organizational level H-53 logistical support functions. This includes parts and material ordering, parts expediting, maintaining and warehousing operations. Technicians are responsible for all accounting, stocking, issues, transfer and receipt of associated aircraft equipment assigned to the command. Shall order, receive, co-inspect with aircraft Quality team member, stow, preserve, package, ship and issue materials/cargo, account for government materials and funds expenditures, prepare and maintain required forms, records, correspondence, reports and files.
