About Us

At CloudFlare, we have our eyes set on an ambitious goal -- to build a better web. We believe that with our talented team, smart technology and engaged users we can solve some of the biggest problems on the web. We already serve more web traffic than Twitter, Bing, Wikipedia, Amazon, Apple and Instagram combined. Anytime we push a line of code, it affects over 200 million web surfers overnight. We are still a small team, well-funded, growing quickly and focused on building a world-class company.

We are looking for a Front End Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building large-scale JavaScript applications. You must care deeply about the quality of your and the team's code; its clarity, documentation and testing. We have a small and agile Front End team right now, so we’re looking for a highly motivated individual who can help drive the next generation of our web application and the associated development infrastructure.

We believe that a great design is at the heart of any successful product and you will work closely with our design/UX team and be comfortable seeking feedback from non-technical sources. We work iteratively and deploy often (can be several times a day). We use Backbone and Marionette as our front-end application framework (and are beginning the move to React), run our own private NPM server to share common components, and build/package with Browserify. Other technologies on our web application stack include Sass (and compass), PHP (API layer), and Postgres for the data store.

• Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Expert knowledge of React.js • Experience with Redux (or other Flux implementations) • Experience writing reusable/modular code and JS frameworks • Track record of building great interfaces with the user experience in mind • Ability to work in cross-functional teams • Excellent debugging and optimization skills • Unit/integration testing experience

• API design experience • PHP knowledge • Pixel perfectionist • Interest in visualizing complex/large amounts of data (D3)

We offer competitive salaries, equity, fantastic health benefits plan, a new laptop, monthly CalTrain / BART pass for commuters and the opportunity to work with a smart, motivated team where you will see your contribution daily. Our sunny offices are based in SOMA in San Francisco, CA.

Sound like somewhere you'd thrive? We'd love to hear from you. Submit your resume and a short paragraph to introduce yourself.
