Reports to Cardiovascular Service Line Director for day-to-day technological oversight of the interventional labs. Handles day-to-day operational oversight of the interventional labs in lieu of IL Supervisor, as needed. May provide direct patient supervision and care, when necessary. Provides instructional/training support as needed. Assists with maintaining compliance with State Department of Health Services, Joint Commission Standards, and patient safety guidelines.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum: 3 years acute care radiologic technologist experience in an Interventional Procedure Services setting (e.g. Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Electrophysiology Lab), multi-service lab setting preferred. 1 year lead/supervisor experience required in an acute care hospital setting, interventional services setting preferred. Knowledge of Title 17, Joint Commission and DHS standards.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum: California DHS Certified Radiologic Technologist, American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), BCLS, and ACLS, California State Fluoroscopy license; A.S. degree in Radiologic Technology. Preferred: B.S. in related field.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Minimum: Knowledge of cardiac & vascular invasive/ interventional procedures. Knowledge of common interventional equipment and technology needs assessment. Knowledge of operational procedures and troubleshooting of schedule conflicts and accommodating emergencies and add-ons. Preferred: Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with various hospital personnel.
