Job Description

Account Sales Manager for Distribution /as well as Marine Sub Segments/ & other /assigned market segments to available project opportunities/ by going after directly and/or aligning existing or setting up new Hydraulics (Power Motion Control & Fluid Conveyance Product) Distribution via vertical industry channels approach in Malaysia:

To set up Eaton presence in assigned Segments (GMO, Segment II, III and Platforms) and identify Local Partners and/or Distribution Channels in liasing effectively with all stakeholders, including internal ones (Project Sales team; Solution Sales team; Technical Support Team; Project Management Engineering team, Account Sales team in Business Unit 2 as well as other Business Unit team in ANSEA Organization)

To meet the Financial, Growth, Building Organization Capabilities and Operation Excellence Goal in Financial Year (January to December each year)

To involve in providing front line sales input to Strategic Plan and Profit Plan and sales strategy and to ensure alignment to company sales goals and profitability

To Initiate and get alignment and development of action plans to grow market and increase share of wallet of One Eaton

To assist in the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans as needed

To provide timely, accurate, responsible pricing on all RFQ from customers and Quote-to-Cash Directly or via Distribution Channels. Accountable for Sales target assigned.

To prepare action plans for effective search of new sales leads and prospect covering various stakeholders (Consultants; Engineering Procurement Contractors; OEMs and end-users) in the assigned segments by coordinating responses

To maintain good contact with customers to improve relationship as well as understanding the customer requirements and expectations and to liaise with distribution clients to resolve any issues

To provide information regarding customer needs, market expectations, competitors’ activities, etc.

To provide product/application training when required

Other responsibilities to be determined as needed by supervisor and 2nd level supervisor

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)


  • Candidate with minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering

  • Position Criteria*

  • At least 2 years of experience in Mechanical Electrical / Electronics Industries

  • Working experience in Marine industries is a plus point

  • Working experience in managing Distribution Channels

  • Knowledge of Hydraulics Systems preferred

  • Strong interpersonal communication skill set and salesperson trait

  • Fluency in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Mail

  • Work best under extreme pressure

  • High mobility is preferred

  • Ability to work both independently and teams

  • Verbal and written English communication skills
