ROLE TITLE: Head of S/4HANA Sales (or equivalent)


  • The Head of Sales for S/4HANA is a senior position, part of the market unit leadership team reporting to the market unit President/Managing Director and dot reporting to Simon Dale, Head of APJ S4HANA. The HC will be funded by APJ.

  • The role possesses advanced/expert level knowledge of selling the business value of the SAP Business Suite domain area (Finance, Material Management and Operations a.k.a Logistics, and Industry Solutions) and is ultimately accountable for the market unit forecast for S/4HANA for both on-premise and cloud editions.

  • This role brings focused management and sales execution to the central strategic business solution set for SAP’s existing and net new customers.

  • The primary role of the Head of Sales to ensure achievement of the revenue and adoption goals for S/4HANA in both on premise and cloud editions.

  • The role places a premium on execution and generating results in support of the market unit business plan for S/4HANA.

  • The role also builds a sustainable business including pipeline, references and thought leadership in the market unit working with the broader sales, presales, marketing, services, RIG, HEC and Partner organisations.

  • She/he also participates in sales cycles as a member of the virtual account team in support of the sales account strategy, taking on executive sponsorship on particularly strategic opportunities.

  • The role should work effectively in a sales and executive management team environment and generate high impact results, focusing on the highest value priorities. Proactive change management is a key skillset that must be demonstrated.

Key Sales Leadership Skills

  • Overall forecast ownership and management of all dimensions of the S/4HANA business in the market unit

  • Close collaboration with the Platform team on joint pursuits for on-premise S/4HANA deals

  • Ownership of the S/4HANA Cloud GTM incubation and deals (all editions)

  • Manage forecast cadence with APJ S4HANA Lead as well as local KR forecast sales motions

  • Collaborate with the market unit management team to ensure all dimensions of the business are building readiness to execute fully on the S/4HANA opportunity

  • Participate in Account Planning and Territory Planning sessions to identify segments of opportunities and strategic change needed at the opportunity, account, territory and market unit levels


  • 10 years sales experience in selling ERP/enterprise software/cloud

  • Knowledge of SAP internal Process and/or S/4HANA preferred

  • Ability to influence and lead a virtual team at a senior level

  • Ability to drive a value sales cycle with content delivery at top customer executive levels

  • Strong communication and presentation skills in both Korean and English
