Business Leader, CPS Expert Sales


Develop business with our Customer Banks in China. Areas of responsibility will cover the following commercial segments: (a) Small, Medium Enterprises (Individual liability); (b) Large Corporate and Multinational Clients; (c) Frequent Business Travellers; (d)Online B2B segment


Within MasterCard, the resource will be charged with positively impacting the China P&L by focusing the efforts of all organization-wide resources dedicated to achieving priorities within Commercial Products for China.

Identification of key revenue generating opportunities that will significantly increase MasterCard market share in the China Commercial Payments market

Ability to analyze the current product portfolio of the corporate client and enable the best fit for MasterCard Commercial Products portfolio.

Improving the traction of MasterCard programs as it relates to traditional card and non-card solutions , inclusive of credit, debit , prepaid as well as non-card solutions such as e-procurement and virtual travel accounts, pursuing new business areas that accelerate the displacement of checks and cash

Development of summary Business requirements, communication with Commercial product development and management of pipeline projects to ensure the delivery of solutions to corporate clients

Create & partner high-level, interactive business conversations with key decision-makers, inclusive of Issuing Banks leading to their Commercial clients, regarding new sales opportunities that require an understanding of information technology and financial management processes

The position may also require the generation of sales leads with the end client on behalf of Issuing Banks.

Lead the Commercial Product strategy plan according to objectives set by Commercial Product management for China

Establish quantifiable competitive positions for MasterCard communicating and consulting with prospects regarding new and existing products

proactively identify the challenges to MasterCard's growth and develop/propose solutions that establish mutual benefit for all parties.

Communicate, consult and present to senior management on all phases of the business development effort

Ability to close new business in a highly competitive consultative selling environment

All About You

Thorough knowledge of payments industry, strong knowledge of Commercial Payments Products and the China cards market

Strong negotiation skills in win-win product and service agreements

Strong sales skills, including navigating past gatekeepers, creating interest at all levels of the prospect organization, and developing strategic business solutions

Strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to process information and incorporate feedback into an interactive business conversation
