Bayer Project Manager, Operations Management in Shawnee Mission, Kansas
Your tasks and responsibilities
The primary purpose of the position is to manage the complexity of transitioning products (3rd party active tolling, internal Bayer pipeline, R&D hand-off post engineering batch, etc.) from beginning stages all the way to the end customer (commercialization). The incumbent will be accountable to bring multiple products to market on time, in budget and as per required quality standards. The position has a direct financial impact on the US AH business and will require key interactions with stakeholders at multiple management levels in the organization and is highly visible within PS-AH.
The primary responsibilities of this role, as a Project Manager, Operations Management are to:
• Provide daily operational leadership to project teams to ensure projects are progressing as per targets. Drive stakeholders to efficient decision-making and escalate roadblocks via appropriate communication tools to site leadership as necessary to keep project timelines on track; • Maintain visibility of issues and status for products across all stakeholders through standard reports (typically presented in Powerpoint) and as communicated via email or through meetings • Create and implement standards in Operations Management (including the gated oversight process); • Create and maintain operational alignment between all business stakeholders per project requirements (ie. R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Product Supply, 3rd party customer and FAP/CAP business units) to ensure on-time product launches.

• BA or BS, preferably in Business, finance or applicable Science Degree required. • Minimum 4-6 years of Industry experience required. • Demonstrated Project Management experience in highly complex environments • Deep Project Management subject matter knowledge with focus on product launches in pharmaceutical environments • Must be highly effective managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Familiarity with Bayer standard processes, tools and organizational setups for Operations Management is preferred. • Bayer Competencies critical for this role include: Customer Focus, Drives Results, Manages Complexity, Plans/Aligns; Manages Ambiguity.
