Peerless Food Equipment, a division of ITW Food Equipment Group, is seeking qualified service technicians to support domestic and international customers in the service of Peerless, Fedco and Peters equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Adjusting, aligning, assembling, calibrating,inspecting,lubrication, and testingofequipment
Problemdiagnosisincludingelectrical/mechanical andelectronics troubleshooting. Mustbe able tobeinnovative and use common sense toremedy asituationso the customer mayresumeoperations
Consult with bakeries to identify process improvements and diagnose mechanical weaknesses to provide value-added solutions
Maintainfrequentcontact with theofficetoreceiveserviceassignments andreviewserviceproblems withadvisor, supervisor,ormanager
Consistently achieveor surpassweeklyproductivity andservicelaborrevenuegoals assigned by management
Maintain workingknowledgeoflatest modifications,retrofit,etc.forequipment assignedtoservice
Assistothersonequipmentinstallationsorin performing majorrepairassignments. Maintain a workingknowledgeof partsstocking andidentification methods
Complete timely and accurate trip and expense reports
Work in a safe manner and comply with all safety standards
High school diploma or GED
5+ years as an assembler, electrician, welder or engineer/field service technician in related field
Ability and willingness to learn additional skills or trades (welding, fabrication, electrical, mechanical, etc.)
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and customer interaction skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
Mechanical ability, such as pneumatics, hydraulics, and general fabrication with troubleshooting skills
Electrical skills, including ability to troubleshoot and basic PLC knowledge
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and display sound judgment on high-profile projects that can vastly impact financial results and customer relations
Able to drive and/or fly multiple hours per day
Able to work on a variety of equipment
Ability to oversee new installations, large equipment repair, etc.
Must be able to furnish required hand tools for their role. (A list of tools is available upon request.)

Rockwell Logix and Factory Talk experience preferred
Knowledge of bakery process and automation processes desired
Troubleshooting utilizing scoping power meter, multimeter, calipers or other basic assessment tools
Welding and fabrication skills desired

Extensive walking3-5 miles/day

Extended hour work weeks (average 60-65 hours)
65% domestic and international travel
