This position is located in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Office of Executive Programs (OEP), Division of Learning and Organizational Development (DLOD) in Silver Spring, MD.

As a Supervisory Organizational Specialist GS-1701-15 you will:

  • Serve as CDER's Organizational Development and Leadership Officer overseeing both of the Center's programs.
  • Develop strategic plans and implementation strategies to accomplish the organizational development and management goa
  • Serve as expert advisor, consultant and focal point to CDR senior managers on issues.
  • Apply a broad range of Leadership and Organizational Development methodologies to diagnose and address issues.
  • Serve as a Branch Chief, responsible for planning, organizing and carrying out all the operations, functions and activities of the Branch.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Baisc Requirements:

In order to qualify for the Supervisory Organizational Development Specialist, GS-1701-15, you must meet the following basic requirement.

Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position being filled.


Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.

Additional Requirement:

In order to qualify for Supervisory Organizational Development Specialist, GS-1701-15, you must meet the following specialized experience:

Have one year of Specialized Experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. The specialized experience for this position is experience leading a team, developing, implementing, and coordinating leadership development initiatives designed to improve organizational performances.
