The Sector Area Support Technical Lead provides guidance and consultancy for the APAC GCG CIS Sector. Interacting on a regular basis with various team globally and/or regionally.
Provide thought leadership for technical solutions for sector area.
Collaborate with production assurance group, client managers, project managers, applications and infrastructure teams to plan and coordinate changes or improvements.
Manage the technical deliverables for projects to high quality standards.
Reduce Severity 1 and 2 incidents.
Accountable for root cause analysis for Severity 1, Severity 2 and chronic recurring incidents impacting sector area.
Collaborate with capacity team to cost effectively manage capacity while ensuring no capacity related outages
Collaborate with Application Production Management to establish annual roadmaps for critical underpinning infrastructure estate
Drive and/or coordinate service Improvement plans for infrastructure driven programs together with the relevant parties.
Drive optimization of asset utilization
Collaborate with client managers, application product managers, service management to analyze and remediate the operations risk head map.
Collaborate with the Information Security Officers (BISO/TISO) to identify and mitigate infrastructure related risks from the environment.
Strong knowledge of UNIX, Linux and/or Windows-based operating systems; with a deep understanding of supporting technologies in SAN, Backup, Web, Middleware, Database, and associated infrastructure components
Broad knowledge of advanced environment monitoring & management tools, performance modeling tools, capacity analysis tools, and other advanced modeling and trending tools
Experience in a Client-Server environment, with practical knowledge of mainframe, midrange, distributed, and desktop technologies
Advanced written and verbal communication capabilities, with the ability to influence and successfully interface with executive leadership
Strong time management & Technical problem-solving skills
Strong skills in project management methodologies and tools
