Washington State DSHS Juvenile Rehabilitation Counselor Assistant in Snoqualmie, Washington

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Juvenile Rehabilitation Counselor Assistant. Work schedule is 3:15 - 11:15 p.m. with Wednesday and Thursday as days off. You'll assist Juvenile Rehabilitation Residential Counselors in providing comprehensive case management to youth and their families.
Some of what you'll do:
- Manage a limited case load of one to two youth offenders
- Assist residential counselors in providing supervision and services to youth and their families
- Serve as back-up for residential counselors and respond to emergent situations
- With residential counselors, assess youth behavior for risk to self and others
- Support and monitor youth participation in appropriate treatment services
- Perform routine security duties
- Supervise and/or serve meals to resident groups
- Monitor movement of residents within the facility and in the community
- Organize and supervise group recreational activities Qualifications
Here's what we're looking for:
A bachelor's degree or two years of college education and two years of experience as a Juvenile Rehabilitation Security Officer or two years of college education and two years of experience in casework, counseling, probation and parole, social services, planning, directing or facilitating youth group activities or experience in a related field.
