Electronics Lab Technician / Subject Matter Expert (C4ISR/ATC)- Charleston, SCN/a, SC, US

Job Description The Electronics Lab Technician / Subject Matter Expert will inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment. Develop detailed status reports on troubleshooting efforts and repair methods utilized. Provide training to end-users as necessary. Provide leadership for electronics repair, installation, maintenance, and check-out. In addition to the maintenance and upkeep of electronic systems locally, responsibilities will include traveling to various military facilities on short notice to troubleshoot and repair systems, when warranted.

The Electronics Lab Technician / Subject Matter Expert is a recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in DASR/ASR repair, installation, maintenance, and check-out.

Will support Air Traffic Control (ATC) Lab functions at local DoD facility for the AN/GPN-27 and AN/GPN-30 Radar Systems, in addition to performing on-site system upgrades and Extended Field Maintenance.

Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Direct and lead the work of others. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Required Skills --Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent

--Position requires 15 years of hands-on experience of which includes a combination of: 6 years of experience in supervision and shop practices; 6 years practical experience in DASR/ASR repair, installation, maintenance, and check-out; eight (8) years shall be in the field of Navy shore ATC airport surveillance radar systems.

--Formal training in Navy shore ATC airport surveillance radar systems which can be from either the equipment manufacturer, Department of Defense (DoD), or Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

--Applicants must successfully maintain Active Secret Clearance and pass a drug screening.

--This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Serco to staff it only with U.S. Citizens
