Understands the various functions and roles within the IT organization to appropriately assign new client implementation responsibilities.
For new client implementations, ensure a clear understanding of who performs what function(s) required for implementations and the amount of time it takes to complete the function(s).
Oversees all IT-related aspects of new client projects – including existing client modifications due to added service lines or system conversions.
Works closely with broader implementation team to clearly define IT project objectives, scope and requirements.
Coordinates IT required resources – both internal and external to meet client/Parallon objectives.
Creates timelines/sets deadlines, develops milestones and assigns responsibilities and IT staff to specific phases or aspects of the project. Monitors progress and oversees adherence to timeframes, requirements and costs throughout the initial and early stage implementation.
Summarizes progress of project and prepares interim and project completion reports.
Communicates project objectives and status to IT management.
Identifies, documents, and communicates client IT requirements including interface requirements, reporting and technology capabilities and needs.
Prepares specifications and plans for technology interfaces.
Ensures adherence to Parallon quality standards for project implementations.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of the IT organization and the various functions/responsibilities required for client implementations plus a strong working knowledge of project management concepts, practices, methodologies and procedures. Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Business or equivalent.
Experience: At least 2 years experience managing implementation projects (preferably from an IT perspective) of varying size and scope from inception to completion. Proven ability to manage relationships, say “no” when necessary, establish realistic timelines and hold others accountable.
Skills/Aptitudes: Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and monitor projects. Strong facilitation and attention to detail. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Ability to build and maintain business relationships across several business areas.
