Senior Security Specialist

  • Reviews adjudication reports and LOIs prior to submission

  • Reviews and evaluates report of investigation, personnel files and additional background records

  • Adjudication recommendation at pre-employment and post-employments

  • Develops, recommends, and implements personnel security policies, procedures, controls, and standards across jurisdictional lines in accordance with current legislation, regulations, Executive Orders, directives, and Bureau policies

  • Reviews and evaluates current, revised, and/or new position descriptions to assess position sensitivity for all positions within the Bureau of the Fiscal Service and for other government agencies for which security services are provided through Interagency Agreement. Determines position sensitivity designation in accordance with OPM criteria matrix

  • Training evaluation and workshop development

  • Completion of weekly/monthly reports and task order implementation


  • Five Years experience in providing background investigations and suitability

  • Experience in supervisory reviews of completions and correspondence activities

  • Experience in reviewing applicant correspondence including court documents, references and fingerprints

  • Experience in NACI/MBI/BI/SSBI review including SF85/SF85P, OF 306 and FBI and state law enforcement vouchers and reports.
