Reporting to the head of Biologics, this position will work strategically and with a high degree of independence to develop and conduct primary planning, tracking, governance, communication and other business operations for the Biologics Department. This role will provide structured planning and tracking of a range of portfolio and resource-related activities to enable operational efficiency, successful outcomes, strategic growth, and communication and alignment within and external to Biologics Development. As a member of the Biologics Development Leadership Team, this will include exposure to confidential and sensitive information and require the highest level of discretion. Interactions will be extensive within Biologics Development and GPDO and with other Celgene business partners.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1.Lead and conduct all annual and long-range planning for Biologics D&M, including the three-year operating plan, the annual work-force plan, the annual operating and capital budgets. Develop and make strategic presentations to justify the proposed plans.
2.Collaborate closely with functional group leaders and CMC program team members to track the execution of these plans and provide regular updates to FP&A, HR, Biologics and GPDO leadership, as appropriate.
3.Develop and maintain a portfolio view of Biologics CMC programs including all external collaborations and alliances, with timelines and probabilities to guide all planning and resourcing activities. Interact with key business partners in R&ED, Alliance Management, Global Project Leadership, Regulatory Affairs, Business Development, Finance and GPDO to ensure completeness and alignment.
4.Lead communications for Biologics. Plan and organize Quarterly Biologics Department meetings, and other ad hoc meetings, developing the agenda and assembling the slide decks. Maintain up-to-date Biologics pages on the GPDO website. Prepare Biologics contributions to GPDO communications and Town Halls.
5.Develop annual Biologics Goals & Objectives, based on corporate, GPT, collaboration, GPDO and CMC program goals and objectives. Track accomplishment of those goals and objectives and review with Biologics leadership to drive operational execution and prioritize resource allocation.
6.Organize and minute the Biologics Governance committee. Track resource (FTE) and budget allocations to CMC programs. Schedule regular and ad hoc meetings as needed to ensure Biologics leadership team oversight and response to CMC program team requests.
7.Prepare talent management and promotion materials, and support organizational development as needed.
8.Oversee strategic initiatives within Biologics D&M, and act as primary liaison for GPDO projects and initiatives. May supervise contract coordinator(s) or other operational/administrative staff.
9.Act as primary point of contact within Biologics for GPDO Business Operations, except CMC program management, and ensure transparency of communication to support business analytics and GPDO planning activities.
10.Work closely and confidentially with the SVP on all the above activities, and on other business and strategic tasks that may be assigned.
Advanced degree in science or engineering field is required.
In addition, having an MBA/business experience is preferred.

Ability to develop complex worksheets and planning models
Good leadership and communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Knowledge of project budgeting process, including financial planning/expenditures
Able to manage complex projects and/or multiple projects
