Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.This includes developing detailed project plans, change management and communication strategies and activities and budget management for implementation.
Support all appropriate Support Functions and Manufacturing as the dedicated lead for a designated area in FFIP (Fill, Formulation, Inspection, and Packaging) to ensure all elements necessary to achieve the desired goals and objectives are attained. Key responsibilities include owning all facets of the project management process so as to ensure company objectives of diminished deviations, escapes and/or non-conformances occur.
The project manager is responsible for making sure that all departments come together in a timely manner to complete the overall goal. This requires the ability to schedule tasks and coordinate with various team members to accomplish the results. The completed project may require different tasks to be performed by different teams. The PM is therefore responsible for keeping the projects on track and possessing the ability to foresee the entire project as a whole at all times. This role is a designated senior-leadership role as indicated by the core required skill-set and competencies noted below.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and implementation of project
Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
Define project tasks and resource requirements
Develop full scale project plans
Assemble and coordinate project staff
Manage project budget
Manage project resource allocation
Plan and schedule project timelines
Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
Provide direction and support to project team
Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
Project evaluations and assessment of results
Candidate will work closely with multiple functions within Swiftwater and potential other locations with the Sanofi family including all support functions for FFIP and all aspects within FFIP. Additional duties may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business need.
Role Activities By Level/Tasks:
Principal Project Manger
Primary role is to serve as the project lead and single point of contact for all project and technical issues related to manufacturing / assembly of a product or family of related products for the identified areas within FFIP.
Level Specific Duties
Planning, Organizing, Controlling, Communicating, Measuring and Leading project related work / work activities. This includes leadership on self-directed / huddle work teams.
Development of specific metrics.
Coordination for review of Data analysis & control chart data.
Take appropriate actions as specified in controlling procedural documents.
Develops presentations and dashboards for communication to executive management on project status.
Lead / Assist with development of PFMEA’s (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis) to identify risk areas.
Lead / Assist with development of and assist with control plan development, where required, to reduce on-going potential incidents.
Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and equipment.
Customer Relations / Interface:
Direct interface with suppliers, where necessary, for supply chain activities.
Act as liaison with supporting groups to fulfill the Operational Excellence goals.
Product / Process Development:
Communicate with management and user personnel to develop project and design standards.
Assist in developing Gap Assessments to identify possible Gaps.
Familiarity with process requirements that lead to accomplishment of validation activities for new and existing products a must.
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Manufacturing or Technical discipline and 10 years of experience as outlined below or
Master’s degree Engineering or Technical discipline and 6 years of experience as outlined below or
PhD. Engineering or Technical discipline and 5 years of experience outlined below:
Direct experience in Manufacturing Engineering in a cGMP and/or ISO compliant facility.
Clean-room operations and protocol experience
Direct operations/floor experience
Experience in the Manufacturing environment with hands-on experience in manufacturing processes, project management techniques and Lean Six Sigma competencies
Process Control and experience using process control and analytics software
Project Management Professional body of knowledge (PM BOK) and Quality Management System principals is a must.
Highly-motivated, self-starter with excellent organizational communication skills.
Experience in leading cross-functional teams
Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, active listening, and relationship management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills: Ability to clearly and effectively present information
Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels, including executive management
Strong project management skills: Lead and manage projects from concept to completion in a matrix environments.
Experienced working in an ambiguous and changing environment
Qualification in project management or equivalent
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
Direct work experience in project management capacity
Proven experience in people management

Proven experience in change management
