Strategic Intent:

  • Drive Citibank sales revenue and increase Citi Priority segment portfolio by contacting potential Citi Priority customers and existing Citi Priority client segment, with next best product offerings though Outbound Telemarketing

  • Utilizing needs based selling to offer general financial advice, products and referrals to build customer growth with the aim to grow Citigold base. The Personal Banker is responsible to work as part of a premium team focused on deepening customer relationships and increase overall product holdings to grow the Citi Priority base

Key Accountabilities:

  • Acquire, grow and retain Citi Priority customer relationships while maximising sales opportunities

  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and refers leads to the appropriate channels for follow up

  • Proactively seek to establish and understand customers’ needs and expectations and provide advice and product information to customers, outlining features and benefits

  • Helps the customer understand which product or investment would best suit their needs, offering alternatives and solutions as appropriate

  • Engage the support of specialists to provide technical advice to customers when necessary

  • Where required monitor customer accounts and portfolios providing market updates and general advice

  • Ensure current and prospective clients have a consistent, premium Citi Priority experience through delivery of outstanding service and intuitive needs based selling

  • Take full ownership of customer requests and proactively follow up agreed actions with stakeholders

  • Take responsibility for resolving issues with customer portfolios ensuring complete satisfaction of problem resolution

  • Keep up to date with new banking products and services; their features, benefits and how these can be best offered to the Citi Priority portfolio

  • Meet and exceed assigned activity targets

  • Actively utilise existing marketing campaigns and activities and where appropriate maintain a database of prospects for call-backs and updates on time specific offers

  • Comply with established bank and external policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality and security of bank and client assets and information

  • Maintain a high standard of accurate and error free work to avoid compliance breaches, including reduction and minimizing critical errors and write offs

  • Maintain a high standard of ethical conduct at all times

  • Action day-to-day operational and administrative tasks as assigned

  • Contribute to Telesales and Retail Distribution operational efficiencies to enable Retail Distribution to achieve plan


Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Degree or vocational qualification in business or finance related subject is desirable

  • Diploma of Financial Planning is highly desirable

  • RG146 Tier 2 accredited in managed investments and term deposits

  • Previous Industry Experience

  • Financial services industry experience with good working knowledge in investment products in a retail environment

  • A proven track record in sales performance

  • Proven relationship management skills

  • Strong knowledge of the retail investment and financial planning industries

  • Deep understanding of industry legislative and compliance regime

  • Proven track record in over the phone sales and service
