The SAP Data Management & Landscape Transformation (DM<) as part of CoE Digital Business Services, is searching for a Senior Consultant/Architect/Business Support Senior Specialist to join the DM< consulting team in Australia.

Changed business requirements often result in the realignment of a company’s business or corporate structure, which can be reflected in various IT-based activities: Consolidation, harmonization and optimization of processes, reorganization of corporate structures as well as reduction of IT-complexity helps to realize our customer’s business goals. As business requirements change, it is also essential to adopt innovative/digital platform, e.g.) IoT, analytics for SoE, SoI with HANA and S/4HANA and cloud for future IT sustainability.

The service portfolio of the Data Management & Landscape Transformation perfectly supports the evolving needs of our customers in ever changing economic environment while minimizing technology driven business disruption. DM< (LT/SLO development together) will significantly refine and grow this service/support portfolio covering Data Management topics with products and technologies, SLO, Landscape Transformation, TDMS, Data Services, Information Stewart, Information Lifecycle Management, Master Data Governance to keep up with increasing demand to foster its position as the market leader. To facilitate this strategy, we are looking for experienced professionals in all areas of SAP systems with a strong architectural, functional and/or development background

The DM< team offers a full solution package - service/support/product - encompassing solution architect, project management, consulting and analysis, conversion and migration tools, solutions for data management like cleansing, decommissioning, master data governance. The service portfolio ranges from short term engagements to long-term customer projects. During the upcoming years, the demand for our DM< will increase significantly in Asia Pacific Japan. The DM< unit in APJ is part of Global DM< serving to customers in global.

As a DM< Expert in this position your job will involve working in a global team focusing on:

  1. International projects/support to provide the best solution to realize planned changes in productive SAP applications and system landscapes and on:

  2. Activities in our Go to Market Area including support for ONE Service/consulting/PE/License sales, the intellectual property in the form of best practices, creating sales collateral, methodologies and providing critical input into the Service Portfolio Management Team.

Main tasks include:

  • Conduct evaluation of customer requests to define and construct the solution offering tailored to the specific requirements

  • Plan and estimate the implementation of the offering

  • Support big or strategic projects

  • Maintain and contribute to service development and knowledge sharing, continuous improvement in operation, products

  • Enable regional/local resource for delivery

  • Engage and leverage multiple stakeholders in the related SAP environments (sales, marketing, portfolio management, development..) to support our Go to Market activities


  • Business development skills – understand customer’s pain points and present DM< solution

  • Solution design and basic architecture skills

  • Customer focus, ability to handle conflicts, organizational skills

  • Specific skills and experiences in multiple of the following functional and technical areas

  • 'Make it happen' and 'Fighter' attitude, hands on approach

  • Team player, proactive networking attributes, results and execution focus

  • Knowledge and experience in executing data migration and conversion projects, various data migration techniques and approaches, data management topics like master data governance

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (other languages would be an advantage)

  • Working in an international environment

  • Willingness to travel

  • University degree or equivalent work experience

  • Solid knowledge in an SAP solution and respective business process understanding

  • Project management, Enterprise Architect, Business Consulting skills plus

  • Experience in ABAP and development activities, and development support during large implementations is plus


  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ work experience in one SAP ERP solution, MDG(Master Data Governance)/EIM and/or module (e.g. as a functional consultant with technical skills (SAP data model, ABAP)) or a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in data transformation projects and solutions (SAP LT, DM< Services, MDG/EIM).

  • Fundamental knowledge of, and implementation experience in ERP FI, CO, LO, SD or MM modules and/or MDG/EIM

  • Knowledge and experience in executing data migration and conversion projects, various data migration techniques and approaches as well as data management/governance topics like master data governance

  • Experience in MDG/EIM is a benefit

  • Experience and proven track in customer interaction and international projects
