We’re looking for an experienced business development colleague to take up this key role within the Cloud Service Center – Global G2M Office. In this role you will engage with our customers, our regional development hubs and the experts of our regional CD Sales Organizations to identify, drive and execute business opportunities in this key focus area. The objective of this role is to continuously improve business and success of the Custom Development Cloud Customer Extention and Application (CAE) offering across the region.

This role is Ideally suited to a sales professional with experience in SAP cloud solution offerings (C4C, CEC, SuccessFactors, Concur, Fieldglass, Ariba) and who has an extensive network already established across ANZ.


Coming from a strong business development background and with a sound knowledge of Cloud solutions, the Cloud Extention Program Manager will have responsibility for:

Task Set 1:

  • serves as a member of the SAP CD Cloud Service Center – Global CSC G2M Office - delivering development program and initiative results across a target market in a best-in-class manner, leveraging the broader organization

  • provides leadership and drives the execution of growth plans across target markets for SAP CD’s Cloud Customer Extention and Application business

  • defines our competitive advantage and establishes the key reasons for customers and prospects to engage with SAP CD to achieve strategic business objectives

  • liaises with regional LoB Sales Teams to ensure that new deals are identified and new business models are executed in a target market

  • works closely integrated with LoB G2M teams and ICN to identify new business opportunities and guide productization efforts

  • guides early G2M activities (sales and growth plans) for SAP CD’s Focused Cloud Solutions (FCS)

  • focus on the highest value priorities and tactfully push through resistance to change

Task Set 2:

  • Regional point of contact within CSC for small and medium sized cloud extension opportunities

  • Drive the entire CD cloud engagement cycle through the sales phase and the delivery phase

  • Support the respective delivery units in creating a solution proposal

  • Professionally manage bids and proposals for small and medium sized cloud extension opportunities

  • Ensure compliance as per Custom Development governance processes, synchronization with SAP Consulting internal processes and secure conformity with Corporate Controlling and Legal Guidelines for small and medium sized cloud extension opportunities

  • Secure an appropriate bid management and delivery governance (approval process, risk management and compliance) in alignment with other LoBs


  • Proficient understanding of SAP, its products and solutions, partners, markets and competition

  • Understanding of cloud, Hosted Services, and SaaS/ PaaS models, cloud -based commerce/ business networks

  • Good understanding and experience of custom software development, its complexities, the key business requirements for execution and a good understanding of scoping at high level is a plus

  • Strong knowledge of best business practices and financial theory and analysis

  • All necessary local work permits preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Computer Science required from an accredited university. MBA or advanced degree in related discipline preferred.


  • Previous and demonstrable experience working in Business Development role within the Cloud service offerings

  • 5 years professional business development experience, international business experience preferred in enterprise software sales, sales enablement industry operations, corporate development.

  • Experience in program planning and / or evaluating new business development opportunities in new or emerging markets.

  • 3 years of SAP work experience.

  • Sound knowledge of Cloud based solutions preferred.
