Accounting Technician


Job Description:

Will work individually and in teams to perform the following tasks: analyze financial, bank, and business records; conduct asset and transaction tracing; review documents; conduct records reconstruction; develop computerized models to assist in the presentation of financial evidence; report on financial data and evidence; and conduct industry and technical research.


Two-year degree in accounting or four-year degree in a related field (finance, business, banking, or economics) with 30 credit hours in accounting. With the COR’s approval, relevant financial and accounting experience performing technical level duties in accounting, banking, or finance for corporations or non-profit organizations may be substituted for the education and credit requirements. Experience in banks and banking required. Strong analytical, technical, interpersonal, and communication skills required. Knowledge of manual and automated systems used by banking, financial and other institutions. Personal computer experience, especially spreadsheet applications, preferred. Microsoft Access or other database skills preferred, but not required.
