This role is to manage the overall health and deliver technology enabled solutions to consistently, effectively, and efficiently support:
ØThe screening requirements of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions Compliance Programs through integration with customer platforms and product processors
ØAnti-Bribery and Corruption program through deployment of technology platforms for Gifts and Entertainment and Surveillance
ØContinued improvement and advancement of systems in various client areas such as CRS, CSIS, Legal and Global Public Affairs in Citi globally.
This role is focused on providing consistent global leadership, communication and on-going improvements to these systems, ensuring technology is meeting regulatory, performance and scalability requirements, and maintaining a leadership position in the industry. The role requires interfacing with Regulators, Compliance, Operations, Business, and Business Technology teams.
The requirements and responsibilities for all aspects of the role include (but are not limited to) the following:
ØManage the implementation, enhancement and scalability for these client platforms ensuring convergence to standard platforms, mitigation of key risks (controls), and continued alignment with Compliance, Operations and key clients.
ØEnsure proper management of the financials both from a client and technology perspective to be able to deliver responsibly within the financial boundaries.
ØManage the global relationship with key 3rd Party vendors, including Actimize, Ficrosoft and others as required.
ØDetermine the buy/build strategy for key strategic platforms and manage the implementation and integration of such platforms into Citi’s infrastructure/architecture.
ØAccountability for CAPS (Corrective Action Plans) associated with issues or deficiencies identified with these systems, as well as management of any and all regulatory commitments made for the technology in relation to these systems
ØHeavy interaction with front and back office technology groups and specifically ensure tight integration between product processors, customer master systems, etc. with AML platforms globally
ØHave overall responsibility and accountability for a significant function, cross-departmental responsibilities and management of regional teams to ensure consistent execution of AML Technology initiatives
ØStrategically define the vision for AML systems and projects to be created related to these systems or having impact to these systems. Proactively advances integrated global AML vision, concepts and use of information technology.
ØParticipate in decisions affecting long-range organizational goals and strategic planning
ØManage relationship with critical senior business clients and senior technology partners. Interaction with Operations Compliance and Business Line senior management, ARR, external regulators
ØTo build effective and robust technical platforms for the AML in coordination with the Compliance and Business Users, Operations & Technology Groups around the world, a diverse group of vendors/service-providers for technology and related services, ARR and Regulators.
ØResponsible for reporting findings, and recommending appropriate technology interventions, where needed.
ØIs consulted often by others for advice and opinions. Businesses should rely on his/her abilities to deliver the desired solution without feeling it necessary to monitor the progress at the micro level.
ØDevelop strategies to reduce costs, manage risk, and enhance services
ØUse of influence skills and matrix management skills in order to ensure quality and on-time implementations of key solutions
ØFollow Citi technology “people practices”, including long and short-term career development for employees, mobility process, and diversity
ØSite leadership for CTO staff based in Tampa which includes acting as the senior representative for all site-related matters that affect CTO, establishing university relationships, participating in cross business site talent reviews, etc
ØBuild relationships; manage/partner with multiple senior level client contacts; act as trusted advisor
ØStrategic technology direction (12-24 month time horizon)
ØProvide technology solutions; managing product development
ØInfluence the enhancement of systems to allow business to lead industry
ØEngage, influence and share information with central and other business aligned technology groups to enhance service/solution delivery
ØAnalyze platform development options (build, outsource, purchase)
ØParticipate in external technology forums/consortiums to build competitive knowledge to enhance solution delivery
ØAct as client liaison for crisis management issues
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
ØMust have extensive experience in managing Compliance AML systems Financial Services and must have a balance of business and technical knowledge in this area
ØMust have experience in experience in enterprise-wide technology development, integration and deployments and excellent communications, strategy and problem management skills
ØMust have at least 15 years of direct experience in managing Compliance and/or AML systems and at least a total of 20 years of total working experience in Financial Services
ØPrior experience in the field of Trading Systems, Regulatory Trade Reporting, Trade Surveillance, Suitability, Fraud, Registration or other major Compliance functions would be desirable, given that this prior knowledge would allow the prospective candidate to hit the ground running.
ØMust have specific knowledge in following areas
oAccounts payables, procurement, and integrated work management platforms
oDigital content management , brand management, and social media management platforms
oVideo surveillance , emergency management, and fraud investigations platforms
oLegal matter management, billing, document management, intellectual property management platforms
ØMust have strong skills in Project Management, interpersonal relationships, handling cultural diversity, communication (written and verbal), influence skills, matrix management and direct management experience
ØMust be able to deliver solutions within challenging deadlines and across a large organization
ØMust have prior proven experience in leading big teams and also proven experience of managing resources in remote locations
ØMust have prior proven experience working with diverse countries/users/businesses to be at ease in dealing with the global nature of technology solutions.
ØThe execution must come not just in time but also with a high quality.
ØMust have a regional/global view of the technical interfaces and software systems.
