Fundamental Credit Risk (FCR) provides independent, objective, reliable, valued and timely assurance to the Boards of Directors of Citigroup and Citibank, the Risk Management Committees, the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer, the Citigroup Chief Credit Officer, Senior Management and Regulators over the effectiveness of credit risk management and the ability of the Business and Independent Risk to identify, monitor and mitigate current and emerging credit risks across Citigroup and Citibank. The Global Products and Operations (GPO) team is responsible for FCR’s administration, board reporting, quality assurance, infrastructure, special projects, and credit risk analytics.

The Global Products & Operations Analyst will provide centralized support to ensure consistency in procedures, processes and documentation in support of the FCR Manager of Analyst Teams within GPO. Developmental opportunities for the GPO analyst include exposure to senior management and international colleagues, involvement in efforts to understand and address the most topical issues in risk management, and the unique opportunity to observe and learn the dynamics of bank-wide Wholesale and Retail credit exposures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to an effective control culture for the Risk Analytics Center (RAC) through the development, implementation and maintenance of RAC policies, processes and procedures

  • Documentation of standards that regulates FCR RAC responsibilities/activities

  • Development and maintenance of risk rating validation templates

  • Oversee RAC workflow management system and track efficiency metrics

  • Perform business monitoring and milestone tracking and reporting

  • Standardization and consistency of data, creation of ad hoc reports

  • Ongoing involvement and support in business monitoring, review-related and ad hoc activities including credit risk assessment of portfolios and analysis of financial statements

  • Support the GPO team in special projects

  • Coordinate requests to the Analyst team from the GPO team, Internal Audit, external auditors and regulators

  • RAC’s Management Control Assessment (MCA) Champion


  • Work experience in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science or similar preferred

  • Project Management experience preferred (specifically enhancement/automation of processes)

  • Experience with internal controls, written processes and procedures

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Access, Word, Visio, etc)

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Detail oriented with ability to work independently and prioritize workload

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to express and communicate concisely and clearly with various levels of management

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Energetic, responsive team player with the interest to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Language skills a plus (Mandarin, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese)
