Function Overview :

CMOT International Cash Change Management (CCM) is responsible for defining and executing change for the Capital Markets Global Cash Operations organization. The team’s remit includes;

  • Implementation of infrastructure / functional change, process change and control improvements.

  • Define and monitor benefits of change, both qualitative and quantitative.

  • Support for all products covered by Cash Operations across Equities and Fixed Income.

Purpose of the Role:

Business Analysts and Project Managers are assigned to individual projects and programs of work. This role is to provide expert analysis of both Business Driven and Operational initiatives, to define corresponding solutions and to work with Technology and all impacted stakeholder teams to implement these solutions. The role will require both business analysis and project management skills to successfully deliver solutions to CCM groups’ clients.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop robust and measurable Business Cases to capture quantitative ROI using standard financial methods

  • Develop individual project artifacts as necessary, including Business Requirements Documentation (BRD’s), Functional Requirements Documentation (FRD’s), test planning and scenario documents for user acceptance testing (UAT), project plans as required for all key technical deliveries.

  • Preparation of senior management Steering Committee material for use inside & outside CMB Operations.

  • Day-day management of individual project responsibilities including milestone setting, task and actions management, co-ordination and execution of plan within required timescales and to stakeholder quality expectations.

  • Management of multiple projects and sub-tasks simultaneously.

  • Identify key project risks, whether stated or not, and manage to resolution or escalate accordingly

  • Assist in ad-hoc duties for Cash Change Management Project Managers as necessary


Previous Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in Financial Services, within or outside of Citi but strong preference for candidates with Operations / Technology Banking experience

  • Real-world experience across the project lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing and implementation.

  • Prior experience of cash products (Equities and / or Fixed income) and Operations processing requirements preferable.

  • Collecting, defining and documenting business and technology requirements.

  • Credible experience of successfully implemented projects in the financial services industry, preferably within Citi or equivalent organization

  • Managing, organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities

  • Preparing and executing test scripts


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions

  • Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines

  • Ability to learn/understand some technical implications of system design

  • Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
