The Social Media Technology Lead will facilitate the implementation of social media systems and technologies for use globally, work closely with internal business owners and stakeholders to insure requirements and strategic direction and vison is met.
Global Public Affairs Technology develops and manages applications used by the Global Public Affairs (GPA) organization that facilitate their business processes and communications needs, both internal and external to Citi. These applications tend to be highly-visible, integrated with multiple existing systems, and require a high level of technical expertise, knowledge, and creativity to maintain.
Work with internal business partners to understand requirements and recommend appropriate Social Media-related solutions
Collaborate with technology and other colleagues to review systems, vendors, and facilitate onboarding new solutions
Understand and work through Citi information security policies and processes, Vulnerability Assessments, Cloud utilization concerns, infrastructure and architecture reviews, etc. for applications used in the Social Media space
Great opportunity for an individual with a highly technical background, experience on multiple platforms, servers, mobile devices, etc. and also a well-developed debugging and inquisitive nature, to understand and promote innovative solutions to meet increasingly complex Social Media requirements amid ever-changing technologies and increased security concerns.
Experience implementing web-based applications and multiple tiers (database, app server, web server, load-balancers, accelerators) a must
Understanding of Information Security standards and practices, secure coding methods, transmittal of information between client and server platforms, etc.
Exposure to and understanding of many different Social media platforms and services a must; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Vine, tumblr, Line, WeChat, and others as they come into focus, several that may be regionally-significant
Ability to adapt and learn constantly, coming up to speed quickly on proposed systems
Excellent communications skills a must; written and verbal
Must be able to understand technical details and explain to non-technical business colleagues and managers
Ability to document requirements, facilitate testing processes, coordinate work effort across geographic boundaries
Ability to understand the details while not losing sight of the bigger picture, and opportunities to leverage existing systems and data, integrations, etc.
Bachelor degree required, graduate degree a plus
Industry certifications of some kind are a strong plus but not required
