The Clearance and Settlement group within the Capital Markets Operations Technology (CMOT) Cash Securities department is focused on delivering best in class solutions to Citi’s Operations in the areas of Settlement feeds, and Journal entries routing.
With business growing in all regions, Operations needs capability to view global positions in one place and be able to effectively use these for smooth day-to-day functionality, complying with regulations and also gaining a competitive edge. The group works with partners from across the globe to leverage off our best practices and global technology platform.
Purpose of the Role:
Excellent Java/J2EE server side programming and should have hands on experience on Oracle/PL/SQL. Knowledge on any middleware technology and knowledge of Investment banking /brokerage domain is a must.
JASPER development resource for Smith Barney migration to CGMI-505 Broadridge. Responsible for technical design, development, unit testing, and for any bug-fixes during SIT/UAT phase
Assigned to work on varying project assignments & tasks individually or as part of a team
Face-off to business PM & BA for day-2-day execution
Provide development oversight for project team in terms of architecture compliance, interface design & review
Should be able to contribute to the high level design discussion with onsite teams.
Should be able to lead a team in need basis and help them in their day to day tasks.
Should be able to contribute towards code review and process improvement methods especially around Unit testing, Single click deployment and improving test coverage.
Develop, analyze, enhance, maintain and interpret code
Develop & test functions, identify system problems, recommend solutions
Provide support to the CMOT Test Team to complete functional testing
Provide support pre/post project implementation
Conduct problem analysis and root cause investigation
Provide support across the full software development lifecycle (analysis, design, estimation, planning, development, unit test, user test, coordination, release and pre/post implementation support)
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Software Industry
Proven ability to translate user requirements into direct system solutions
Prior delivery experience within Finance domain preferably Cash Securities
Proven ability to manage multiple project deliveries across global team or vendor team
Knowledge of server side programming in Java/J2EE
Excellent Oracle/PL/SQL skills.
Knowledge of Oracle or some other RDBMS development/understanding
Knowledge of Spring framework, XML, XSD Schemas and UNIX.
Good SDLC experience/knowledge
5+ years of experience in Resource Mgt., and Vendor Mgt.
The position is based in Tampa and is required to review the day to day delivery work, ensuring a robust process implementation, identifying project/program delivery risks and work on risk mitigation.
Candidate will work independently and should be self-motivated. He may be asked to represent the organization to third parties.
Applies skills and knowledge of the business to develop creative solutions to meet client and business needs.
The candidate will work with complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs
Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering. Master’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering is a plus.
