Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care ICU - Per Diem/PRN (7p - 7:30a)
At Terre Haute Regional Hospital, Critical Care staff work closely with Intermediate Care Unit (IMC), Cardiac Cath Lab and Respiratory Care Services.
Our 16-Bed Medical/Surgical ICU provides exceptional care for a wide variety of patients including Post Op Cardiac patients, those needing critical medication and insulin drips, renal replacement therapies and ventilator care. The house wide telemetry station is also located on the ICU Unit. In the ICU and IMC, medical and surgical services are provided for a wide variety of conditions, serving primarily an adult population. Our licensed and professional nursing staff has many years of critical care experience. We have state-of-the-art technology and equipment for monitoring patients, including an external artificial heart device.
The Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Per diem/ PRN working 12 hr. shifts, provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of seriously and critically ill patients, in support of HCA ethical principles and values. This includes continuous observation and frequent measurements of relevant indicators of clinical conditions and outcomes. Nurses will provide direct access to patients for major procedures and therapies, including resuscitation. The RN-ICU will consistently maintain competencies in hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, ventilator management, and other evolving techniques as they are developed. The RN-ICU will always recognize and be cognizant of the impact that a serious illness projects upon a patient and their family. The RN-ICU is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting all aspects of patient care. The RN-ICU delegates appropriate tasks to unlicensed personnel and provides required supervision.

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
Associates Degree in Nursing from a school of professional nursing (required)
BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)
Current Registered Nurse License in Indiana
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required) and ACLS (required)
- 1-2 years of experience as a RN with demonstrated competency in critical care skills (preferred)
