Direct responsibility of project delivery to a customer
Effectively manages project delivery, rigorously adhering to compliance and governance requirements and engendering robust project management discipline. Effectively balancing time, cost, quality and risk within the scope of a project, and achieving this within a customer’s unique organization structure and culture.
Provide leadership, guidance and oversight of delivery activities to enable maximum customer value throughout the delivery phase. Makes sure that the customer is achieving his business objectives with the project.
Skillfully navigates through political and professional interests of clients and stakeholders, earning their trust and confidence.
Manages and leverages diverse teams of differing skills and disciplines across a broad spectrum of activities to achieve successful project delivery.
Establishes well-defined project standards, controls and procedures and defines resourcing and structures required to meet delivery commitments.
Supports sales activities in the negotiation of project proposals, ensuring an achievable project plan that delivers client value.
Coaches junior project managers and consultants.
Minimum 6 years of customer facing experience in Japan
Strong customer facing skill, Negotiation skill and Stakeholder management skill required
Understanding of Japanese business culture is required
Minimum 3 years of project lead and/or project management experience in Japan.
Experience in project planning and estimating; managing and coordinating a broad spectrum of activities of people from different functional and technical backgrounds and organizations; financial and budgetary accountability; prediction of sizing and performance characteristics of a system.
Knows how to balance the needs and expectations of client stakeholders, skillfully overcoming the challenge of conflicting personal goals and interests.
Experience as In-charge Project Manager of Prime contract project in Business Application implementation is required.
Expertise in Enterprise packaged application implementation management is required.
Expertise in Custom development project management is preferred.
Expertise in Global roll-out project management is preferred.
Expertise in Off-shore management is preferred.
Minimum 4 years of relevant hands-on work experience
Ideal candidates will have five or more years of experience in a consulting role, preferably deploying comprehensive ERP, Supply Chain and/or Customer Relationship packaged solutions such as SAP.Experience of all stages of system implementation life-cycle (Feasibility study, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Go-live and Post-implementation) is required.
Expertise in System Implementation Methodology is required.
Strong understanding in at least one of major business processes (e.g. FCM / SCM / CRM / HR etc.) or Technical Architectures is required.
5 years of track record in top IT consulting firm will be preferred.
Excellent communication ability both internally and externally
Native level Japanese language skill is required
Business level English language skill for internal communication
Ability to craft logical documentation is required
Presentation skill is desired
