CH2M Water/Wastewater Project Manager in Tucson, Arizona

Lead exciting and critical water and wastewater projects for our clients in the Tucson and Phoenix area and have a hand in transforming tomorrow.

As a Water/Wastewater Project Manager in Tucson, you will have the chance to provide water and wastewater-related client services while delivering projects and serving and developing clients. Working with other members of our team, you’ll:

  • Serve as the leader/manager of project teams, supported by technical task leaders and sub-consultants, as needed

  • Oversee detail designs, project schedules, and budget management.

  • Participate in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets.

  • Balance a combination of business development, client relationship management and project delivery work

  • Develop and maintain consistent relationships with key decision-makers within the client organization and political levels

  • Identify opportunities to influence and create the client’s perception of CH2M

  • Develop strategies to expose the client to the full-range of capabilities offered by CH2M

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline

  • 12 years competency in working with municipal clients in water, wastewater, water resources, and/or conveyance design projects as an engineer and/or project manager

  • An understanding of regulations, competitors, and external drivers that may affect clients in the Arizona market

  • Professional Engineering license in the State of Arizona or the ability to obtain reciprocity

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental, Chemical or Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline

  • Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams

  • Demonstrate superior client service/maintenance skills and ability to develop strategies for client base growth in a competitive market

  • Involved with local professional societies

  • Excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, and strong data analysis & technical problem solving expertise

Preference will be given to candidates with existing client relationships in the Arizona market.
