Robert Half Finance & Accounting Credit Administrator in Vancouver, Washington


  • Perform credit review and approval of new and existing accounts by means of: o Credit Applications o Financial Statements o Credit Agency Reports o Third Party/Bank References o Customer Guarantee's

  • Complete collection activities on all assigned accounts including review of past due accounts as well as performing proactive review on upcoming payments due from customers. Understand the need to establish customer payment plans and work with credit manager on approval and then manage the plan to ensure customer compliance

  • Analyze orders on hold for assigned accounts to either release, hold, or cancel dependent on customer's credit status. Determine the basis of the credit hold and take corrective action

  • Assist with maintaining online credit systems (Pacific In Touch) with current credit information

  • Document customer and collection notes into online system (AR Task Tracking) used by the credit dept

  • Prepare annual account reviews (or more frequently as needed) to renew or adjust existing customer credit lines

  • Determine and prepare AR write offs on customer accounts to give to Credit Manager for review/approval

  • Determine needs to escalate an account to collections and bring proposal to Credit Manager for review/approval

  • Respond to customer requests for invoice copies and statements as well as answering general customer inquiries

  • Execute exceptional communication skills when dealing with customers in challenging situations

  • Capable of working with all levels of the organization from branch personnel, sales team, accounting services, up to senior management

  • Provide exceptional customer service in all aspects of the job

  • Perform back-up duties for Cash Application as needed

  • Maintain and manage resale tax exemptions and certificates for assigned accounts Education:

  • High School degree Experience:

  • Five+ yrs experience working in Accounting and Collections

  • Prefer to have NACM training and/or designations

  • Experience with high quality customer service

  • Substantial knowledge of liens, collection laws, and credit policies

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to listen

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

  • Ability to adapt to change and work independently.

  • Works collaboratively with other groups and functions to address and resolve issues

  • Ability to work in a fast pace enviornment

  • Have a little bit of crazy in you
