Field Engineer

Duties, Experience, Skills, Requirements, and Information:

The Field Engineer position will assist Mission Commander in aerial target mission planning, conduct simulations to ensure accuracy, ensure SNTC Operational and Accuracy of displays on MCC and RSD. The Field Engineer will be required to attend formal Remote Control Operator training at Naval Air Warfare Center, Pt. Mugu, CA. The primary function of this position /RCO is to provide remote controller support for operations located at Dam Neck, VA., and other deployed operational sites as required. As the Field Engineer you must possess aerial target maintenance experience as this will be required to assist with aerial target buildup, operational checks and decontamination procedures. As a senior member of the aerial target team, you, as the Field Engineer, will participate in all phases of aerial target preparation, mission control, decontamination and refurbishment of recovered aerial targets.

  • Must be able to work extended hours as required (all hours worked will be paid as straight time Field Engineer Pay)

  • Ability to obtain a passport.

  • Must be able to travel outside the Continental US.

  • Perform all target maintenance related tasking as required.

  • Provide guidance/training for team members

  • Possess valid state driver’s license, Commercial Driver License is a plus.

  • Physically capable of transferring between vessels at sea, if necessary.

  • Physical capabilities to perform maintenance tasks.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Basic Micro Soft Office proficiency

  • Minimum 5 years or aerial target maintenance experience.

  • General knowledge of boat operations, mechanical and electrical operating system.

  • Experience with driving pickup trucks with trailers on the road and in enclosed or limited spaces.

  • Navy Ordnance handling experience is a plus.

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Possess Remote Control Operators Certification

  • Professional certifications/licenses a plus

Work Conditions:

Conditions will vary. Most work (but not all) performed in enclosed buildings. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs., 50-100 lbs. assisted by other employees.

Possess a valid driver’s license.

All candidates will be required to pass a Drug Screening.

U S Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Security clearance throughout employment, if the position requires a clearance.
