Security Program Officer II

The SSSO is responsible for the management and coordination of the Security & Safety services across an assigned geographical area for all Citi businesses. The SSSO is responsible for the development and conformity to policies, strategies and standards as defined by Citi and its regulators. The main goal of the position is to ensure the protection of the Company’s integrity and reputation as well as to safeguard its customers, employees, assets and the shareholder’s interests through policy and procedure development, enforcement and emergency planning. This is a visible position, requiring a high level of professionalism and experience as well as the ability to interact with senior members of all divisions within the company. The SSSO will have a strong knowledge of security and business operations.


  • Administer, manage and provide support to the area managers on security and fire life safety with direct reference to the Citi Global Security and Safety Policies & Procedures, achieving this through conducting risk assessments. Review security and fire life safety operations and implement improvements to ensure efficient and effective operations. Ensure CSIS COB and emergency plans are in place and training provided to all staff to ensure operational readiness and effective emergency management.


  • The SSSO must be a subject matter expert on Access Control, CCTV and alarm Systems and Project Management throughout the area and have the ability to step in and manage all aspects of the Security Managers responsibilities as needed.


  • The SSSO must be responsible for the MIS of Security & Safety including but not limited to BSC, KPI, Security Radiography and goals tracking.


  • The SSSO will provide CSIS Support for all internal and external audits throughout the area and will act as advisor for local business management and Security Managers for all security or fire/life safety issues. In addition, CC will establish and oversee processes within the area to ensure compliance to all standards, policies, regulations and laws are adhered to and documented.


  • Microsoft Office, Security Systems such as DVR, Alarms access control etc.

  • Security Manager 3 years’ experience

  • Master degree a plus

  • CPP/ PSO a plus

  • Strong knowledge of financial products, frauds and trends

  • Excellent communication and personal skills needed for working with peers, management and business customers

  • Ability to work independent in the position with minimum guidance. Be self-sufficient and a self-starter

  • Possesses creativity, is able to develop new processes towards improvement

  • Able to multitask by carrying a diverse and complex workload

  • Must be flexible and available on a 24-hour per day basis.
