ICG Middleware System Administrator
This is a Middleware administration position to support a team of skilled MW administrators within the ICG organization. Provide L3/SME support for Middleware platforms covering Application Servers and Web Servers systems.
This is an Infrastructure systems administration position to support and a team of skilled Middleware SAs within the ICG organization. Provide primary support for Middleware platforms covering the support of middleware on different operating systems. Core responsibilities involve planning and assigning various set of tasks related to middleware administration, routine system maintenance, infrastructure product management and ensuring optimal middleware support for corporate applications.
„h Coordinate/Apply VTM patches (COB/PROD) - Low/Medium Critical, High Critical and complex environment.
„h Maintain the validation process for VTM, escalation of End of Life, VTM, Green Zones, etc. to app teams
„h Create and follow up all Change Request customer approvals for VTM remediation
„h Define and document process for Middleware Installs/upgrades for operation readiness
„h Document and maintain the validation process for installs and upgrades
„h Interact with Production Support/Operating Systems/Network/Storage/DC teams for new Middleware builds
„h Provide technical delivery planning & oversight of all middleware build integration for High Critical and complex environment
„h Perform Middleware Builds.
„h Perform Root cause Analysis and Remediate Compliance Issues - (COB/PROD) - Low/Medium Critical, High Critical and complex environment
„h Assist app team with application performance tuning, coordinate with app team for New Application installs
„h Deploy COB architecture and implementation and Document and maintain COB test procedures.
„h Post Build Task as:
o Verify high availability.
o Verifiy the Cluster configuration.
o Verify the firewall connectivity for DMZ web servers.
o Verify DNS configuration for Web Apps.
o Verify Load Balancing to guarantee the high availability.
o Verify roles for web servers.
o Verify ACLs.
o Verify JDBC.
o Verify WTC.
o Verify Digital Certificates.
o Verify tuning for optimal performance.
o Install required software¡¦s/business request.
„h Middleware Administrator supporting critical applications such as AcciMarket (AM), AcciTrade (AT) Global Security Services (GSS), SPEI, Employee Trading Policy (ETP), Pantalla de Promotor (PPromo) and Iconos de Analisis. The applications are complex.
„h Support critical applications for the ICG organization. Provide operational support for Middleware platforms covering Oracle Weblogic, Web Server and Tuxedo systems. Core responsibilities will involve planning and coordination of tasks related to middleware administration, routine system maintenance, infrastructure product management and ensuring optimal MW support for corporate applications. This role is responsible for providing technical knowledge and assistance to L2 and L1 support groups. Develop reports and metrics to assist management in progress tracking and set priorities. The individual will be responsible for overseeing all Infrastructure initiated deployments and vendor escalations. Automate processes and improve efficiencies. Develop innovative solutions and scripts to streamline deployment of packages and patches. Assist in root cause analysis of production outages and resolution of problems in a timely manner. Be the subject matter expert across middleware systems. Ensure consistency of compliance processes. Adhere to corporate and business specific policies and consider appropriate controls as part of day to day responsibilities.
„h A good understanding of Oracle Weblogic, Web Server and Tuxedo systems.
„h Understanding of digital certificates.
„h Security concepts for web infrastructure.
„h Thorough understanding of networking concepts. Scripting knowledge.
„h Good teamwork, verbal and written communication.
„h Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule.
„h Know how to manage complex environments and building client relationships.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
„h B.S. degree (Systems / Informatics / Computer Science) is desirable but not obligatory.
„h Experience is relevant. It is required to have at least 8 years of experience in the IT area
„h English communications, written and spoken, is desirable. 40% approximately.
„h At least 4 years of Experience on WebLogic, Web server and Tuxedo Systems.
„h Standard MS Office tools.
