We are currently looking for a Computer Operator I to work in our IT Operations Department in Monroe, Wisconsin. This is a 3rd shift position (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM), Sunday through Thursday. This position will monitor and operate computer consoles and peripheral equipment. They will maintain records relating to output and supply inventories along with instructing and acting as a resource when necessary. What You’ll Do A successful Computer Operator will acquire knowledge for the operation of mainframe systems, distributed systems, and peripheral equipment under the direct supervision of the shift manager. Other responsibilities may include:

  • Process forms through high speed laser printers

  • Use pallet jacks to move forms to staging area

  • Monitoring computer systems and equipment for operational and error messages.

  • Process and print report output for internal and external customers through the computer systems and high speed printers.

Requirements What It Takes We are looking for an above average communication skills and motivated person to work in our IT Operations Department. Ideally you would be someone who can follow written instructions and adapt to change on a daily basis. In addition, we are looking for:

  • Working knowledge of basic computer skills is desirable

  • Able to lift and carry up to 50LBS

  • Able to frequently stand, walk and twist

  • Able to prioritize and manage a dynamic workload

  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, divide and use percentages
