Program Security Specialist
Program Security Specialist will provide diverse range of support functions to include but not limited to:
provides subject matter expertise and handles the more complex security administrator duties
maintains and prepares Standard Operating Procedure documents for core areas of responsibilities, as needed
mentors and develops junior level contractor security administrators
opens and maintains security records
performs pre-screen functions and follows up on errors as needed
provides accurate and time responses to customer status inquiries
prints, photocopies and files security processing documents as needed
communicates clearly and describes work procedures that fall within job scope in an organized way
serves as a role model in anticipating customer needs and providing exceptional customer service
assists with developing training materials for formal and informal training
may support fingerprint capture activities
comply with organization reporting requirements
assist in preparation of briefing and other correspondence
submit accurate productivity statistics to the customer office on a schedule and ad hoc basis
meets quality and productivity standards established by the customer
Must be a US citizen possessing TS/SCI clearance with polygraph at time of application.
At least one year experience as a Security Support Officer or Faculty Security Officer
High School diploma or GED, or equivalent experience in related field.
Must demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and the ability to discreetly handle sensitive, personal and classified case information.
Must have excellent writing skills with ability to comprehend complex and multi-source data into succinct and supportable final reports.
Must possess strong organizational skills and good judgment.
Must be able to operate various corporate and customer specific automated systems for case tracking and status reporting.
Must have a thorough understanding of the federal rules and regulations that encompass the clearance process.
Demonstrated ability to produce documents that require minimal editing, utilize software tools (MS Word/Excel/Power Point)
Knowledge of and ability to use customer corporate and customer specific applications (MS Office, Lotus Notes, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and any other web based application).
Demonstrated understanding of the federal rules and regulations that encompass and support the clearance process, including Security Clearance Processing documentation, system security plans, TDY travel notification, clearance passing and other ad-hoc security duties.
