The Line of Business (LoB) Finance is responsible to fulfill SAP’s simplification story by delivering SAP Simple Finance and SAP Business Suite 4 HANA. This next-generation set of solutions is based on a simplified and renewed finance technology stack that leverages the full potential of the SAP HANA platform. LoB Finance consists of a global development organization with teams in Walldorf, Potsdam, Shanghai and Palo Alto that works in close collaboration with customers and partners to support superior finance processes and new business models. The applicant (f/m) will become member of the development team with the focus on Management Accounting and integration topics into Financials. The team has a holistic view and takes responsibility on the complete development process. It is working with the latest Hana based technologies on core financial topics.


  • Work as Developer (Associate) in a team on designing, prototyping and developing applications and features in the area of Management Accounting

  • Ensure quality of the application by developing automatic test concepts and implementing test automation

  • Collaborate with other development teams, product architects, field support teams, partners and customers

  • Build up and expand business knowledge within Financials

  • Show initiative and drive topics in a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency

  • Be open and motivated for different working models such as Scrum and Agile Development and Design Thinking

  • Enthusiastic to work in a dynamic and challenging working environment with changing requirements and constantly changing technologies.


Required skills

  • Degree (Bachelor/Master) in computer science, (business) informatics, natural sciences or in a comparable discipline

  • Excellent development skills in one or more programming languages

  • Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to new tasks and challenges

  • Very good analytical skills, high quality commitment and a self-motivating working style

  • Willingness to continuously learn both new technologies and business processes

  • High motivation to contribute to team spirit

  • Good communication skills in German and English (oral and written)

Preferred skills

  • Functional and business process knowledge in Finance (however not mandatory).

  • Knowledge of HTML5/UI5, oData, JavaScript, HANA technology, ABAP (-OO)

  • Knowledge of and experience with Agile Software Engineering practices, Scrum, Design Thinking would be beneficial

  • Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees


  • University graduates are welcome

  • At least one year of experience in professional software development is beneficial
