PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Digital Platforms - Platform Team is responsible for running SAP.com platform and landscape. The team is also responsible for all publishing tasks on SAP’s public website sap.com together with executing all Digital Marketing online Demand generation campaigns, newsletters, online event campaigns and microsite creation.
As part of the restructuring of SAP public web experience (also called 1DX project) we are also creating a new Metadata Taxonomy.
Metadata touch nearly every aspect of a digital project from content to search to analytics.
As part of the 1DX project, we’re assembling a set of universal metadata, modelling and maintaining it, and provisioning it to where it can serve as managed tags for all content we publish on the Web.
We’re also putting in place a process to govern that metadata throughout the business.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The intern (f/m) will contribute to activities– technical, business, and operational – across the 1DX Metadata Project.
The intern (f/m) will be joining the team while it is still setting up, formalizing or in some cases automating processes, and will:
Help maintain the metadata schema in SmartLogic Semaphore, a 3rd party best-of-breed tool
Create a monthly report of changes made in the schema
Participate in collecting metadata requirements from different areas of the business
Monitor and update the project plan and schedule
Assist in coordinating meetings and communicating with stakeholders
Develop documentation for consumers
Support the end-to-end testing process to ensure the data flow and quality across multiple systems.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Student (f/m) - preferred field(s) of study: Information science
Knowledge and understanding of Web processes, trends and techniques.
Good knowledge of MS Office
WCMS knowledge (Adobe CQ5/AEM) welcome
Language skills: Fluently English; German language skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Advanced analytical capabilities
Detail oriented but able to see the big picture
Able to work both independently and in a team
Strong interpersonal skills
Others: Experience in taxonomy, information architecture, or user-centered design is a plus
