PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Exchange Media (SAP XM) is the next generation online media network, transforming Digital Advertising by connecting advertisers, publishers and digital agencies directly in real-time via the cloud using SAP HANA in-memory technology. SAP XM offers a new level of targeting based on consumer´s needs, real-time monitoring and precise reporting capabilities moving beyond the traditional ways of running campaigns.

Working with the SAP XM team you will be able to participate in this project holistically, while supporting the development of a seamless user experience and its continuous enhancements. You will conceptualize, design, test and and continuously improve the user experience of the new advertising platform in close collaboration with our cross-functional team including quality assurance during implementation.
Combining state of the art mobile-, cloud-, analytics- and in-memory technology is our approach to develop the next generation digital advertising platform in a new organisational and intrapreneurial unit, consisting of best-in-class experts in software-engineering, marketing, ux/ui, visual design, sales and operations.
You will work in a new and fast paced start-up environment, which will require you to be passionate and flexible so as to tackle new and partially yet unknown problems as we continue to push forward in parallel with technology and digital advertising business.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
We are looking for an intern or a bachelor/master thesis student (f/m) who can support our initiative, being able to:
Analyze, assess, and test existing advertising and media platforms, as well as the related new trends in regards to UX / UI currently offered to users in these fields;
Contribute to and support the UX strategy and the overall design direction of a next generation advertising platform involving all relevant users of the platform;
Define and design use cases, workflows and storyboards;
Define the information architecture and interaction design from concept to completion;
Prepare, conduct and evaluate usability tests;
Tightly collaborate with fellow designers, user researchers, product managers and platform engineers;
Foster an open-minded and creative atmosphere based on transparency, constructive feedback, mutual respect and integrity internally and externally.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Student (f/m) at a University or University of applied sciences (FH)
Preferred fields of study: Media Design, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or related field
Understanding of design thinking principles and methodology
Generate and iterate ideas via hand-sketches
Experienced in creating interactive prototypes via Axure, UXPin, Balsamiq, InVision
Good skills in Photoshop, Visio/OmniGraffle, Powerpoint
A portfolio demonstrating a varied range of work
Sound English skills - verbal and written, German skills would be a plus
Strong communicator with the ability to work in a team, but also
being able to work self-sufficient
Ability to think innovative and be open for new trends
