The Technology Strategic Projects team as part of Products & Innovation takes new directions in the SAP landscape. We explore new technologies, including Backend and Frontend development, to implement smart business applications on the basis of latest generation ABAP as well as Cloud services.


In combining smart programming and compelling user interfaces we target at efficient and easy to handle business tasks where context matters. Our open culture is driven by lean and agile development processes, where everyone takes pride in their responsibility to deliver high-quality technology.



We are seeking for a student (f/m) with a practical, hands-on orientation, eagerness to explore and co-shape emerging fields of contextual applications, including novel frameworks and paradigms, as well as novel interaction techniques, willingness to work in a cross-disciplinary setup, open mind set, strong communication skills, both independent workstyle and team orientation, creative and reflective thinking skills.



Creating functional prototypes using state-of-the-art UI development tools and techniques, preferably HTML5/javascript and CSS, in order to transform design mockups into concrete showcases (pilots); focus / skill set: UI interaction and visual design & development; rapid prototyping, iterative approach; solid knowledge of UI programming, experimental mind set.


Required skills:

  • You are studying UI / Interaction Design, Communication Design, Psychology or Software Engineering with specialization in Human-Computer-Interaction and have an above-average degree (ideally you have already completed your Bachelor’s degree)

  • You have a good command of Graphic Design, mastery of graphical prototyping software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)

  • You have strong programming skills in Javascript (ideally, you have already worked with Node.js)

  • You have strong analytical and problem solving skills, and you are comfortable with trying out new technology with beta-level quality

  • You are fluent in German and/or English (spoken and written)

  • You are self-motivated, team-oriented worker, comfortable with being part of an agile team

Preferred skills:

  • You are interested in business software and user task modelling (incl. needs and requirements analysis, use scenarios etc.).

  • You are interested in novel UI- / frontend-oriented software technologies.

  • You have experience with building functional, dynamic UI prototypes

  • You are keen to document your achievements and communicate your design artefacts

  • You have experience with version control, in particular with GIT

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, current university transcript of records, certificate of enrolment, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Providing a sample portfolio of your previous design work is critically required.
