PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SPBF Managed Services is the central shared service center located in Walldorf, Shanghai and Bangalore for system landscape provisioning & operation for Solution Package Build & Framework. This high-performance team serves concurrently 100 projects in EMEA, APJ, US concurrently on a 5x16 basis. At optimal cost/benefit ratio SET Managed Services is the one-stop-shop to deliver system landscapes with minimal delivery time while hiding complexity from our customers.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
This position is designed to perform as a highly skilled technology Senior / Expert Consultant in all phases of a system landscape lifecycle. Starting with the system landscape planning and provisioning, continuing with operations until dismantling.
Continuous learning working with SAP’s latest technologies, turning first evaluated landscape requirements into scalable services acting as an interface between SAP’s IT organizations and the internal customers – the development teams.
You will be part of a global distributed team, working closely together with our Solution Package Build development teams, Product Development, Development Landscape Management teams, internal IT infrastructure providers and cloud solution providers.
In a nutshell:
Act as an interface between Solution Packaging development teams and SAP standard system providers
Be the go-to consultant for technical advice regarding landscape design optimization
Collaborate with all required stakeholders to operate and optimize system landscape lifecycle
Drive ongoing optimization, standardization, and scalability of SET Managed Services’ system management services and processes while working effectively together in international teams
Review and optimize the performance of SET Managed Services’ service provisioning and related processes
Contribute to resource and capacity management to ensure the stability of SET Managed Services’ service delivery
Act as supporting and driving contact for technical issues impacting operations
Take over responsibility for relevant reporting
Drive knowledge transfer and provide documentation to ensure scalability of SET Managed Services’ service provisioning across all locations and inside stakeholder base
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer science, natural science or a related discipline or equivalent work experience
Fundamental (expert) knowledge in SAP Basis operations
High customer & service orientation
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to prioritize work and activities
Ability to multi-task and work along tight schedules with pressure on time and performance
Excellent team player, who is willing to work in an international environment
Excellent English written and oral communication skills
Good German written and oral communication skills
Knowledge in ITIL methodology
Experience in a customer facing or support role
Ability to create excellent documentation
3 or more years of IT experience with a solid experience in SAP System provisioning and operations
Working experience in an international virtual environment
