PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP HANA Data Warehousing Foundation team delivers specialized SAP HANA XS based applications to manage large-scale and custom build HANA data warehouse operations.
As there is an increasing demand to build cloud based data warehouse solutions we are currently building a set of individual applications which are web based to set the foundation for such a solution.
To strengthen our team we are looking for students that can support our team in development, engineering and operations related topics related to Hadoop.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
You can support the team in setting up tests and test scenarios by putting data into HDFS using technologies offered by HANA Data Warehouse Foundation or established methods available in the community around Hadoop. If you are familiar with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Travis you have furthermore the chance to assist in developing application prototypes to plan, build and run a modern data warehouse solution.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Student (f/m) at university or university of applied sciences with preferred field(s) of study: Computer Science
Ideally familiar with the concepts of Hadoop and HANA Vora, Spark, HDFS, Java Script
Fluency in English and German
Ability to work in a team of experienced colleagues
Analytical and communication skills
Familiar with Data Warehousing concepts, HANA & Hadoop technology and trends
Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs/ programming languages.
