Senior Contracts Manager DOD contractor D.C. area $140k, great benefits, 401(k), great work life balance! My client is a Defense Contactor supporting Navy, Marine, and Army Contracts. Due to retirement they have a need for a Senior Contracts Manager to lead the Contracts Dept. The Senior Contracts Manager will report to the VP of Contracts and be responsible for the following duties:
Ability to perform cradle-to-grave federal contracts administration with all contract types (specifically FFP, T&M;, and Cost Reimbursable). Assure processes and procedures are well managed and necessary actions and reviews are accomplished to comply with all contract requirements, including all reporting requirements.
Analyze contract requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, and regulations. Monitor and track contract performance (contract schedules, deliverables and assist with funding, invoicing and payments) and proactively identify and address potential risk areas or other problems that could have an adverse impact on the company.
Participate in contract negotiations, understanding the business case and having an appreciation of financial/analytical issues, profit and loss implications.
Serve as the point of contact for internal leaders and customers; provide guidance and leadership to cross-functional business team members.
Lead all aspects of the Subcontract process including generation of Requests For Proposals, proposal evaluations, source selections, negotiations, file documentation, change management, dispute resolution and subcontract close-out
Maintain contract compliance with company policies, Government laws and regulations, and ensure consistency with industry best practices. Advanced knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in contract administration, including relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned contracts, including FAR, DFAR, TINA and CAS.
