Payroll Manager needed in greater Hartford area! Our client, a well-respected higher education organization in seeking a Payroll Manager to lead their payroll team. The Payroll Manager will report directly to the Controller and be responsible for planning, organizing, and monitoring the daily payroll process and operations, verifying the accuracy of payroll data through proper balancing, resolving of discrepancies, and reconciling the interface between the payroll system and posting to the general ledger. The Payroll Manager will also provide oversight and monitoring of payroll processes in compliance with internal controls, as well as cultivating and maintaining effective working relationships with the offices of HR and Financial Accounting Services. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of Payroll experience, a highly analytical approach, and supervisory experience. Some experience in higher education is highly preferred but not required. A competitive salary up to $84,000 is offered depending on experience along with excellent benefits.
