Your tasks and responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role, Analyst – Sales Planning and Effectiveness, are to: • Collect and integrate a wide range of quantitative and qualitative data to measure, analyze and report upon sales force effectiveness and provide associated recommendations. • Analyze data on an ongoing basis to identify trends, correlations or cause and effect relationship, leveraging both established sources and ad-hoc data collection and analysis. • Analyze and capture detailed drivers behind trade spend ROIs in order to identify key opportunities regarding promotional effectiveness and efficiencies. • Proactively identify opportunities for sales process improvement. • Work closely with sales management to review sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. • Assist sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. • Develop, maintain, and provide accurate, relevant and timely trade spend reports and other budgeting intelligence that is essential to the sales organization and company leadership and recommend revisions to existing reports, or assist in the development of new reporting tools as needed. • Provide ad-hoc performance reports and ‘what-if’ analyses, as needed. • Support the Sales Planning and Effectiveness team with all automation and technology needs including multiple sales offices and off-site satellite locations. • Assist with tracking and compliance of all sales team legal contracts, accounting needs, and administration including, but not limited to, company fleet, price lists, trade spending, travel and expenses. • Assist in ensuring the sales meetings are planned successfully from both a financial and operational perspective.

More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications: • Bachelors of Business Administration or equivalent studies in economics/management helpful with a minimum of 2 years’ of relevant business experience, ideally within consumer package goods industry or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. • Foundational skills around sales data analysis and reporting; capable of producing, analyzing and interpreting various reports and syndicated data. • Solid written and verbal communication skills that allow for clear and concise presentations.
• Adaptability to a diverse working environment with the ability to work successfully with teams across the organization while being self-motivated. • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; results-oriented and must be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively. • Strong problem solving skills. • Strong computer literacy skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications: • Knowledge of syndicated sales reporting databases such as Nielsen and IRI.
